PUPPY AND DOG TRAINING COURSES
Our courses are designed for puppies and dogs that are comfortable in the presence of other dogs and people, and have the capacity to learn. Group classes are small, with a maximum of 6 per class so that personal attention can be given and specific goals worked on. Every person and their puppy/dog are treated independently.
For a dog or puppy exhibiting behaviour at class or home which is not included in the course program; a private consultation or assessment may be required. In some instances a referral to a Vet Behaviourist may be recommended to address the behaviour.
The whole family is encouraged to attend Paw Power courses, however, please ensure that children under the age of 18 years are supervised by an adult at all times. All dogs/puppies must come to class secured by a flat lead and collar/harness. Check chains are not permitted.
Remember, we are training you to train and manage your puppy/dog.
PUPPY PRESCHOOL
We run Puppy Preschool for puppies aged between 8 and 14 weeks who have had their first vaccination. This is a MUST for any owner of a new puppy. This course covers topics including biting, house training, socialisation, environmental enrichment, nutrition, grooming and puppy health, canine body language and handling exercises. FOUNDATION COURSE
This is a great class for dogs over the age of 4 months who have not been to puppy preschool, as well as dogs who have completed training elsewhere (not including puppy preschool). All dogs must be up to date with their vaccinations. The Foundation Course is perfect for general training and covers all the basic including responding to name, focusing, sitting, dropping, staying, coming, loose lead walking, leaving, giving, going to the mat/bed, polite human/dog greetings and plenty of play. K9 KINDY
K9 Kindy is for adolescent dogs 14+ weeks who are up to date on their vaccinations. Your dog must have completed puppy preschool with an accredited trainer. K9 Kindy classes are perfect for dog owners who want to extend their pet’s education and social skills. We will build on the connection between dog and handler and teach more basic cues including staying, coming when called with distractions, loose lead walking, leave it, drop/give.
